One on One with Joey Morrisey (Sr)

How old was you when you started and what got you interested in Golf?

I started at a very young age. I watched my brother play golf for as long as I can remember.

People say Golf is a thinking mans game. Why is that?

To me I think it's because you have to see and think of every shot before you hit the ball.

What aspects do you love about the sport?

How it's just you playing against the course or old man par as some would say.

Can you remember your first win? What was it?

My first high school win was at CedarBrook in Iola, Ks my freshmen year.

What has been your most memorable win? Why?

Winning State for the second time to have a shot at beating my brother's record.

Who has been the most influential on you and your game?

My entire family has been a big part of my game but I would say my dad and my brother have helped me the most.

What is the strongest part of your game? What part of your game would you like to improve on?

I would say my tee ball. It seems I always find the fairway off the tee. As for improving, I always work on my short game. I work really hard to try to be the best around the greens.

Any thoughts on what schools you are interested in after high school?

I think I'm going to attend Johnson County Commuity College next year to play golf  for Coach Lafayette Norwood.
